Court Booking FAQs:

A: No, everyone is welcome! You can hire courts, join group sessions or book private lessons without a membership.

A:  Simply click the ‘Book a Court’ tab in the menu to book and pay online or download the free app ‘Playtomic’. 

A: Of course! Tennis and padel rackets and balls are included with your court hire. Please ensure footwear have flat sloe’s, no hiking / trail trainers. 

We’ll always refund or reschedule outdoor courts affected by the weather. Canopied padel courts require 24 hours’ notice for a full refund. All courts can be cancelled on the Playtomic app within the 24hr window, outside of this please contact the club directly. 

Membership FAQs:

A: Please see the link to our membership page here.

A: Of course, we welcome everyone. It is a £6.00 guest fee for all non- members for Tennis. If Padel players are on Playtomic simply add / invite them to your game and the system will work out a non – members rate dependant on court booked and duration of play. If players are not on Playtomic simply head to front desk to pay. 

Coaching FAQs:

A: We offer a range of adult beginner group lessons — a fun, social way to get started in small groups of up to eight. Visit the timetable on our Adult Coaching page for full details.

If you’d prefer private lessons before joining a group, these can also be arranged, just get in touch with the club.

A: Just bring yourself and a drink, we’ll provide the equipment. We also have a refreshment bar, toilets and changing facilities. Please wear flat-soled trainers (no running/walking shoes or boots).

A: Whether you want matches or a relaxed hit, you’ll fit right in. We have 15 teams and a range of leagues (men’s, ladies’ and mixed doubles). We can also help you find players at a similar level, and we run a monthly in-club American Doubles tournament. We also have Improver + Coaching sessions on a Monday 8-9pm 

A: Simply contact the club and we can point you in the right direction.

A: We will always contact you 45 minutes before a session is due to start if we need to cancel due to weather. We do try our best just to ‘crack on’ where possible.

A: Our Mini Tennis programme is for children aged 3–11 and focuses on developing key sporting skills as well as tennis. Check out the Mini Tennis page for more details. 

For ages 12+, we also offer a full Junior programme for all ability levels. See the Children’s Coaching page for details.

A: For any group sessions we have access to the indoor sports hall at Sandylands Sports Centre. For any private lesson, the coach will be in contact directly with you. 

Holiday Camp FAQs:

Skipton Tennis Centre | tennis sports camps

A: Of course, your child gets to choose! We have Tennis and Football available all day, plus multisport including fun games such as dodgeball, tiger – tig & tug of war, athletics and basketball are also added.

A: Yes, lots of the activities are game based and the main focus is about being active, having fun whist in a safe and friendly environment!

A: No, please ensure your child is sent with a packed lunch and a drink. We do however provide a snack at morning break, this is a packet of crisps.

A: All the children will be split down in to KS1 & KS2 and then split down In to chosen sports. Don’t worry, if your child wants to stay with siblings or friends that are older or younger we won’t split them up!

A: From experience we have found that children who are 4 and at school in reception enjoy camps better and get more out of the sports / games. Therefore, we only take children from reception upwards. 

A: Your child should be comfortable. Trainers are advised, or enclosed flat shoes. We always recommend layers in the colder months as we we can be both indoor and outdoors. 

A: We have guaranteed use of the indoor sports hall at Sandylands. Plus, our clubhouse is fully heated for the colder days.

A: Head to our Holiday Camp page and book your place online. There’s options to pay at time of booking and pay on the day via card or cash, we want to ensure that our camps are flexible. 

A: You can pay online at the time of booking which means you can ‘drop and go’ or you can select the offline payment option and pay via card or cash on the first day inside the clubhouse.

Facility FAQs:

A: Yes we share a large free car park and we have x2 electric car charging stations.

A: We have a great self service coffee machine, as well as tea, hot chocolate and a range of cold drinks and snacks. 

A: We have changing and toilet facilities only.
